Forcey Christian School’s basketball teams tournament weekend
Forcey Christian School's middle school basketball teams embarked on an action-packed weekend, facing off in two thrilling tournaments that showcased their skill, resilience, and sportsmanship.
Starting the weekend at the Annapolis Area Christian School tournament, our girls faced tough challenges. They were defeated in both tournament games, but their spirit remained unbroken. The boys, overcoming an initial setback due to a loss in game one, but rallied together and secured a well-deserved victory in their second game. Special recognition goes to #32 Layla Epps, #4 Diallo Radway , and #15 Tireni Omotayo-Benson, who shone brightly, earning the coveted All-Tournament Player Award from AACS.
The momentum continued as both teams headed to the Spencerville Adventist Academy Winter Classic Tournament , a dynamic 2-day tournament. This was a huge tournament with a total of ten teams participating. Saturday night witnessed both squads clinching solid victories, setting the stage for an exhilarating Sunday.
The girls' team showcased their love of basketball with an impressive two consecutive wins, earning a well-deserved spot in the championship round. Though narrowly falling short, they secured a commendable 2nd place finish. The boys mirrored this success, displaying remarkable teamwork and securing two consecutive wins as well. Despite a valiant effort in the championship game, they too claimed a well-earned 2nd place in the tournament.
The dedication and hard work displayed by our student-athletes didn't go unnoticed. All our coaches stand proudly beside their teams, celebrating the accomplishments of the weekend. Forcey Falcons work and pray hard, and we'll be ready for whatever challenges lie ahead.
Go Falcons!!!
