Jose Idler

Jose Idler grew up in South America and England and was introduced to track and field in Middle School by a teacher who taught the basics of events such as hurdles, discus throw, long jump and middle distance.  After playing soccer for many years, he started running competitively in his late teens and college years as part of a running club. Along the way, he started swimming and biking, and picked up triathlons. After a long hiatus, he’s still running and doing triathlons as part of the Masters ranks. His love for the sport led him to start working with youth and introduce them to disciplines that will yield not only physical, but also mental and spiritual benefits. Over the last few years, he’s worked with the Boys and Girls Club and Forcey Christian School.
