A Life of Service in Action this Christmas

The Lady Falcons proved that their strength and dedication is not reserved for just the court. In the spirit of Christmas and following along with Forcey Christian School’s current theme – “A Life of Service” — the girls exemplified this theme by teaming up with The Children's Home Holiday Giving Program this season! They sorted, packed, labeled, and loaded gifts that were to be delivered to the Children’s Home in Catonsville, MD. Their time, dedication, prayers, and teamwork helped make a positive impact by helping to fulfill a need in our community.

The Children’s Home Holiday Giving Program service project was brought to our Forcey Athletics Department through one of our very own MVPs (Most Valuable Parent), Mrs. Sharita Bryan. Mrs. Bryan shared this non-profit organization’s mission and how it became near and dear to her. The mission of the Children’s Home Holiday Giving Program is to line up sponsors to make sure that each child or young adult’s wishlist is granted. Residents of the Children’s Home range in ages from 13 to 21 years of age. This year, Mrs. Bryan took on the task of overseeing 54 wishlists. Our Lady Falcons offered an off-the-court assist by helping to make sure Mrs. Bryan could see to it that the donated gifts by sponsors were delivered in time for Christmas.

We encourage you to learn more by visiting https://www.thechildrenshome.net. Here you can make a donation or apply to become a volunteer. Whether it’s a monetary gift or the gift of time, your gift will make a difference in allowing The Children’s Home to continue to “build, serve, and nurture”.

Forcey Proud! Go Lady Falcons!
